Nation is Terry Prachett's latest (non-Discworld) novel. It is about a boy whose island nation is wipred out by a sunami. Alone in the world, he is lead by the ghosts of his ancestors to survive, and to keep his Nation alive. This is not my favourite Pratchett novel, and it is not as witty as his usual fair. However, it is unique in the predicaments in which Mau finds himself, and in the questions that naturally arise in your own mind as you follow him along. |

Welcome to all members! We have formed a large group and hopefully everyone will find their experience in our group both stimulating and rewarding.
This group is for those who love books and would like to share their thoughts on any book they may have read or plan to read. If you have access to preview chapters, we would love to read them with you. When posting to our group, please use these guidelines. 1. This group was formed for the discussion of books. While we all appreciate your creativity (such as poetry and images); if they are not directly related to a book, this is not the place to post. Please find a more appropriate place to post off topic comments, poetry and images. 2. When posting a book discussion, make sure to list title and author. 3. In your review, please give us as many details, without spoiling the book. You may also include what inspired you to read the book and why we should be interested. 4. Links and pictures for your book/author are what we would expect. 5. Please make an effort to post a review and comment on other reviews. 6. This group is not moderated; however, I reserve the right to remove any article/image from the group that does not relate to our group. Please self moderate yourselves and only post what is relevant to our group. 7. You are welcome to invite any of your contacts to our group if you think they would be interested in reading and reviewing books. Have fun reading and reviewing; I look forward to discussing and reading with you! Groups Owned by Lisa M.
