Dribble

Friend of mine got the job at my company.  She starts Monday the 14th at New Hire Training.  Yea M!

Was drooling over MLS listings tonight.  Have a year before I can probably try to buy.  Was encouraging that there was a lot more in my budget lately.  One of the units I can afford is a place a friend of mine used to stay in.  It's about 400 square feet more than my place now, laminate floors, fireplace and a walk in pantry/laundry room.  Boy would I love to nab that place right now.  It's in a choice location too.  Right near the freeway, near a grocery store I like, a lot closer to work and real close to where my Dad's buried.  (I know, creepy and weird, but it's my Dad, I loved him and it is a real nice cemetary).

Been watching Lonesome Dove.  Surprised at how many of the actors I recognize.  Surprised I'm enjoying it.  Never been much for the cowboy movie.

One of my neighbors here needs to move out because she can't afford her rent.  She wants to sublease to my coworker who wanted to move up here anyway.  It would be a kosher deal and all, but such a short lease since it would only be for the remainder.  Plus my coworker would have to negotiate the price after the lease is up (which I don't think the owner will come down) or scramble trying to find a new place.  As much as I would love for my coworker to  move up here, it would save me a lot of miles since I carpool with her, and it would be great to have her as a neighbor, I hope this doesn't work out.  I just don't think the owner will come down and I don't want my coworker to screw herself in the end.

Cold is getting much better.  Not gone yet... not by far, but so much better.
